By solid solution diffusion of WC (carbide) into the substrate, we have developed a surface modification that enables scientific bonding at the interface. The thickness of the treated layer of the carbide part can be controlled from 10 to 400 μm depending on the purpose, which is thicker than conventional PVD and CVD treated layers, and is almost equivalent to carburizing and nitriding treated layers. We introduce a carbide coating technology that possesses a dense film characteristic with strong adhesion to the substrate, resulting in extremely high wear resistance and corrosion resistance.

HVOF spraying (High Velocity Oxygen Fuel spraying) is a super hard thermal spray coating suitable for wear and corrosion resistance. Due to the smooth surface of the coating, it is easy to achieve a super mirror finish, and thick film formation is also realized. The extremely high particle velocity (500-800 m/s) produces a coating with very high density and low porosity.
